WELCOME TO MY PAGE
Hi! It's Hannah. I'm so glad you're here. I'm a Doula, lover of pleasure based sexuality, and a feminist.
WHAT IS A DOULA?
A doula is a trained professional in childbirth and the postpartum period who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a person who is pregnant, in labor, or has just had a baby. We are a positive influence during an intimate moment. Traditionally, pregnant folks were surrounded by women in childbirth. We hold space for you, believe in you, empower you, and can calm nerves. We are not there to replace any family members or your partner, but to join in that one-of-a-kind team to ensure you have the best experience possible. We can also be thought of as birth assistants, birth educators, and a hand-holder through an incredible journey.
What can I support you with?
BIRTH CONTROL DOULA
Are you dissatisfied with the birth control you are using? Are you interested in switching to an option that would work better for you but having difficulty navigating what's out there? I can help! I personally use a fertility awareness method that is non hormonal. Let's talk about your options!
If you choose a birth center birth, home birth, hospital birth, planned abdominal birth, wish for spontaneous labor, are trying for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), schedule an induction, see an OB or midwife, or any other combination you can think of, I support you in your birth choices! Let's do everything we can to plan for your ideal experience.
Postpartum care for a new family is incredibly important. What many call the "Fourth Trimester" for a new parent, a Postpartum Doula is there to provide support to the whole family as they transition into their new roles. Emotional support, evidence-based support surrounding chest or bottle feeding, and hands-on support is what I offer.
A loss doula is someone that provides emotional, physical, and informational support to someone undergoing an abortion procedure, experiencing a miscarriage, or has delivered a stillborn baby. If you are seeking out resources regarding this, you deserve compassion, respect, and care.
SEXUAL HEALTH EDUCATOR
Was your sexuality education lacking useful resources? Was it fear or abstinence based? There is way too much misinformation out there. The sexuality education many of us receive in school needs a serious revamp; you deserve to know accurate and comprehensive sexual/reproductive health information.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Birth Doula Client
Hannah helped me to achieve the natural birth that I wanted. I know without a doubt that I couldn’t have done it without her providing constant comfort and encouragement. I would recommend Hannah to anyone seeking support during their delivery and after.
Birth Doula Client
My experience working with Hannah was an excellent one. She was very attentive, responsive, and I am so glad she was there to guide us through the birth of our son. Thank you, Hannah!
Postpartum Doula Client
Hannah was our postpartum doula for our baby boy Ivan. My husband & I didn't have a lot of experience with babies, so we were really happy that Hannah was there to help! She taught us how to clip his nails, bathe him, & soothe him to sleep (the butt taps work wonders!). Most importantly, she was there for me when I was freaking out about a skin rash he had. She was really calm & helpful & even offered to go to the doctor with me. If you're looking for an awesome postpartum doula, I'd definitely recommend Doula Han!
Birth Doula Client
Hannah is amazing! She helped my husband & I feel so comfortable during my pregnancy & the entire labor & delivery process. She's always available to talk about concerns or questions, & has tons of info/resources to offer you if needed. Having a doula is something I wish more expecting parents would consider - it's definitely worth it. Thank you, Hannah!

Hannah was so great. Thank you. I feel rested, finally!
IT ME, DOULA HAN!
Female activist. Plant lover. Doula. Yogi. Birth worker. Vegetarian. Daughter. Sister. Niece. Cousin. Partner. Friend. Dog mom. Relatively new kombucha brewer.
The goal of my work is to increase the amount of sexual health information available to anyone who seeks it, to end the stigma associated with menstruation, abortion and sex, and to provide a space for people to ask questions, express concerns, and learn incredible things about themselves.
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2018. I was an Interdisciplinary Health Science major, Social Work minor, Sexual Health intern, and co-founder of the first all-female sketch comedy group on campus. Currently, I am pursuing full-time work as a doula and hope to start the certification process of becoming a placenta encapsulator.
I am a full spectrum Doula and believe that all people deserve support around their reproductive health: Birth, Postpartum, Birth Control, and Abortion. I also LOVE talking about sex and sexual health. I think all of these topics intersect and our society needs more information and support regarding childbirth, sexual health, and how that impacts our lives.
My passions include reproductive justice, positive birth experiences for birthing people of all backgrounds, emotional and physical healing through yoga practice, pleasure-based sexuality education centered on the importance of consent, growing plants, supporting and lifting womxn up, and increasing the number of educated voters.
